A Wild Outfit Post Appeared!

Hey guys!  I took some outfits photos for once in my dang life. It's been a while!

They are maybe not the best quality because i took them with photo booth, but let’s just be content with the fact that i took them at all.  I was really excited about my outfit, I think mostly because I had a really great day in it.

♥ hat. i've had it for a while...the tag inside says Christy's Crown Series, and then there's another tag that says By Tony Merenda. I LOVE wearing hats, especially to interview to anywhere you're going to meet new people. I think they are comforting and also make you stand out!

These pictures are from Monday. On Monday I went to Brooklyn, had some tea, had an interview for a sweet internship (I start Friday!), walked around in the sunshine, FINALLY got a library card and took out some books, and went to French class. Excellent day.

My roommate asked if my outfit was Reeve Carney inspired (HAHA! maybe subconsciously! the boy’s got style).  I might do a Style Crush post with him soon; I haven't done any Style Crush Dudes posts yet, have I?!

What I Wore: Birthday Edition

Hello there my sweet bonbons. It's been a while! I'm returning from my little Winter Break writing hiatus and my resolution is to have a more regular updating schedule this year.

My birthday was a few weeks ago (okay, it was in December), so I thought that I'd share some fun pics.

Nikki Dee's DUH Style Tip of the Day

Wearing a long dress or skirt? Is it too long? Is it windy or rainy out? Knot the hem! Knot the hem! SO EASY WHY DIDN'T WE DO THIS PREVIOUSLY?!

Also, it looks pretty cool!

Take this lovely striped maxi that I wore to class today. I'm short, so the dress goes all the way down to the ground. It looks quite pretty but is horribly inconvenient for getting to class through the (dirty) streets of Manhattan. However, once you knot the hem, it is much more manageable and gives off a different look as well.

You don't have to knot it- you can pin it, hold it up with some crazy clip, tie it with bunches of yarn....

I'M BACK AT SCHOOL AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT BUT IT IS SO MUCH WORK

and right now I am sleepy and my next door neighbors are bumping techno music really loudly and trucks are bumpin outside the window and everything is bumpinnnn and i am eating chinese food and drawing about 40 croquis (fashion figure drawings) tonight so that I can get up in four hours to go pick up some fabric swatches for a project lalala. Anyway, this is going to go sort of all over the place. Ready, go!

What I Wore: Lady Gaga Fashion Moments

On Friday night  I went to a show at my old High School called GaGaPalooza. It was a senior showcase for the drama club performing only Lady Gaga songs. The entire thing was run one of my best friends and it was awesome! I am so proud of him (Friday was also his 18th birthday). None of the pictures that I took of the event were any good, so I will try to post some good ones later!

This is what I wore: my interpretation of the "Just Dance" video outfit, plus a lobster mask that I made!

I also had a blue lightening bolt on my face:

By the end of the night, the blue makeup was smeared and my hair was ridiculous and I felt like Gaga in the "Just Dance" video (minus the whale humping) and I really believed for a moment that maybe I secretly was Lady Gaga....fun times.

While I was trying to figure out what to wear, I made a folder of some of my favorite Lady Gaga fashion moments ever. Here are a few:

Black, Studded Thigh High Boots!

Here's what I wore on a trip to Rice to Riches in Chinatown.

Rice to Riches sells about a million (disclaimer: they don't really sell a million) flavors of rice pudding. I used to think that rice pudding was gross, until I went to Rice to Riches.  I think they make their rice pudding out of unicorn smiles and the dreams of children.

What I Wore to see Billy Elliot

On Friday, I went to go see Billy Elliot on Broadway. It was great!  It has all kinds of drama, from heartbreaking to hilarious. I have read the book and seen the movie, and I absolutely loved the stage version. Those kids can really dance!

Thrifty Finds!

I am attending an ugly sweater party this Sunday.  Therefore, I went to Goodwill to find something to wear. I will post the sweater after the party, but right now I'm mega in love with something else I bought there. I found the CUTEST SHOES EVER!

They are Harajuku Lovers, they were (pretty much) my size and they were only ten dollars.

Ummm SCORE!
